2004 (54) E85 3.0i Roadster in Black

Hello everyone,

For sale is my beloved E85 Roadster. I have owned this car for a few years, and I've loved every minute of it, but now I unfortunately need something more practical and can't justify keeping two cars.

It's a sad thing to have to sell this, but I feel like selling it here will mean it would go to the best possible new home :driving:

Headlights: Xenon

Location: Windsor / West London

Price: £4,600

The Good Bits
The car is unmodified aside from an inconspicuous AUX input added to the radio using the CD-changer input. It has the desirable M-sport cabin with the comfortable heated sports seats as well as the optional 18" 59605s.
The engine and drivetrain is bulletproof and has not shown any signs of deterioration, no oil leaks or rattles anywhere, and it even got compliments from a BMW expert looking underneath it :D

  • Good service history, mostly by independents - not all in the book because I'm an idiot and forget to bring it, but I have the receipts
  • Interior in really good condition for age
  • New battery fitted this year
  • New Brembo discs and pads fitted all around 6000 miles ago.
  • Rear suspension bushings replaced 4000 miles ago making the car feel new.
  • Serviced on 22/09/2020 at 94k miles.
  • The roof motor has been relocated to the boot to prevent water ingress being an issue.
  • New rear covers fitted to headlights to prevent steam and water ingress

The Not So Good Bits
Bodywork is not in showroom condition. It's done 94k miles and does have marks to prove it here and there. Nothing major, but I don't want people to expect a concourse condition :) The cabin is in great shape for 94k miles though.
There's an air bubble in the roof hydraulics somewhere, which will probably disappear over time. Currently this means the roof just needs a gentle nudge when opening to not get stuck.
One of the reverse sensors has a bad connection so needs replacement - I have the part but haven't fitted it yet because I prefer not to have it beeping at me when I park :D

Photos
I'm including a small selection of photos for this post to not make it too long.

Good looking, cared for & low-ish mileage E85

It might be prudent, to add more specific details - regards the Service History, of what's been done; when & by whom..

Additionally, with circa 3.5 months MoT remaining, it might be beneficial for any impending new owner, to know the issue with the one headlight - is fully resolved, before the sale completes..

Best of luck with the sale OP :driving:

UPDATE: Had the headlight fixed now. Really glad I didn't sell it with this issue, as I'd hate the buyer's first experience being a bill :)

I've updated the original post to reflect this.

UPDATE 2: Fitted new covers to the back of the headlights to stop them misting up and to stop water ingress. This way I'm hoping to spare the next owner a bill for new Xenon parts due to water. :D
