2004 3.0i SE Automatic - £3,500

Appreciate that most members will already own a Z4 but having sold my Z4MC last year via the forum I thought I would offer its replacement on here in the hope avoiding the 3 litre test pilots my Facebook advert is likely to attract.

I have subsequently acquired an E89 and also own a 2.8 pre-facelift Z3 so unfortunately something had to give.

The car is a 3.0i SE automatic that was produced on 22/04/2004 and registered on 28/09/2004 - I bought it in March last year on 98,000 miles and it is now on 104,000.

It has had 6 previous owners and the VIN number is WBABT52040LT02509 with the following notable options:

Colour - Titanium Silver (L0354)
Interior - Leather Oregon black/black (PLASW)
S0255 - Sport leather steering wheel
S0459 - Seat adjustment, electrical with memory
S0494 - Seat heating for driver and front passenger
S0662 - Radio BMW Business CD
S0692 - CD Changer I-bus preparation
S0704 - M sport suspension

The only non-standard upgrade is a bluetooth adapter that facilitates audio from your phone - this is non-intrusive and hidden behind the trim in the boot.

The style 202 need a refurb but all the tyres have around 5mm of tread.

All the standard documentation is provided including the owner's handbook, service booklet and operating instructions for the stereo - and I have just received the V5 following my successful online application to remove the private plate and return the car to it's original registration (RJ54 FWB).

The Car drives without fault and everything works as it should - service history as follows:

12/10/2004 - pre-delivery check
15/08/‪2006 14‬,291 miles - oil service
15/10/‪2010 51‬,871 miles - oil service
10/10/‪2011 56‬,640 miles - oil service
13/06/‪2013 64‬,604 miles - Inspection 1
22/06/‪2016 80‬,040 miles - Inspection 1
14/08/‪2018 86‬,800 miles - Inspection 1
13/09/‪2019 95‬,613 miles - Oil Service
26/03/‪2020 98‬,815 miles - Inspection 2
23/11/‪2020 102‬,390 miles - Oil Service

Brake Fluid
15/08/‪2006 14‬,291 miles
10/10/‪2011 56‬,640 miles
26/03/‪2020 98‬,815 miles

The body work could do with some attention as it has the usual paint chips and a few scuffs but nothing major and the passenger headlight could do with drying and resealing but otherwise it's a lovely standard example that hasn't been messed about with.

Please let me know if you need any more information or if there are any details I have missed.

Great price for a lovely looking and as you state unmolested Z4. Low mileage for a 17 year old. Don't suppose it will hang around for long. Spring is on it's way and all that. If it was mine I'd be adding another 1k to the price. Apart from the roof motor not being relocated and the condensation in the n/s headlight it's a steal.

Unfortunately you can't keep them all and hopefully someone can benefit from my compulsive buying nature and inability to say no - priced it slightly cheaper on here in the hope it will stay in the Z4 community

Nice looking car at a sensible price, should fly out based on that.

I take it your happy with the e89 now?
Yes loving the E89 especially with the 2.5 N52 - it feels like the perfect combo for our UK roads and with the hardtop it just that bit more versatile. I do still have my pre-facelift 2.8 Z3 for the more analogue roadster experience so intend to run that alongside the E89 for a bit.

Great stuff, the e89 is good for that slightly longer cruise where you need a little more comfort and security.

No interest save a couple of jokers offering £3,000 without even seeing the car - looks like I'll be going down the ebay route god forbid :headbang:

Hi I’m new to the forum. I sold my Boston Green 2.8 Z3 last year foolishly! And have been looking for a Z4 to replace the Si’s seem to fly away but your car has nice history and seems reasonable. Can I ask where are you based please. Thank you

I'd hazard a wild guess at Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

By the way if you are still trying to come to terms with the hasty decision to sell the Z3 I also have a pre-facelift 2.8 in Boston Green that might be going up for sale. Lovely condition and family owned since 2011 with less than 76k

That’s tempting! I had mine for 5 years and did about 5000 miles in it that included 2 trips across Spain so didn’t use it much in the UK it had done 60k when I got it. Out of interest is it man or auto and does it have ac and interior colour please. Thanks again.

Sent you a PM

Sorry can’t pm yet as new to forum. The Z3 sounds great but I sold mine and planned to get a Z4. I only really used my Z3 on the two trips across Spain, it never missed a beat although it did feel like an older car which was part of the fun. I hoped a Z4 would feel newer have ac my car didn’t have a bit more boot space and above all be quieter at 80/90 mph for 700 or so km. There was no point having the radio on! I had a new hood fitted but it made no difference oh and the headlights were rather poor as well. I am finding it hard to find a 3.0 Z4 but don’t need a car so can wait for the right one. Thanks for the reply as I said your car sounds very reasonable but I live on the South Coast so to far to come and see it certainly in the hopefully soon ending lockdown. Cheers

The E85 will certainly offer you a greater level of refinement and if you go for the E89 that will step up another level - good luck with the search.
