Had a good morning took wheels of painted calipers ,then going out for dinner ,went about 10 miles fine and pulled up for some horses to pass ,then engine stalls :headbang:
Got to the pub for dinner left it an hour ,then on start up stalls ,runs OK but as soon as you let the revs drop it stalls , drove home carefully ,running flat no power .
Now at home looking for reason ,and what's wrong with the car ,starts up fine then revs fall and stops wont idle on its own
Anyone know what the fault is and any help or advise pls

Hi,
Sounds like idle speed control valve not opening ?

Will it only start with your foot on the gas a little? might be worth removing the plugs around the throttle body giving them a spray of something like carb cleaner ar contact cleaner an refitting (all with the key out of ignition) just to eliminate a poor connection.

Worth a try.

Just had a look on mine and it looks like it's just below where the air intake joins the throttle body but probably worth looking it up online to be sure.

Yes just watched a video on u tube ,said to remove airbox and vose to get to it ,then remove and clean it ,I'll give it a go tomorrow .fingers crossed

Update ,stripped this morning ,cleaned out idle valve ,checked the other vale above while I got it out .Now runs OK .thanks for all the advise . :driving:
