2003 z4 roof closed no lock.

Hy , i am new to the forum,
Recently i tried to rebuild the hydraulic cilinders on my 2003 z4 since the only bmw dealer in lebanon wants a house for the repair (3500$), it didn't work .whoever i put the roof back on my car to open it and close it manually , now im facing a new problem after installing the roof i tried to take it manually , the red light is blinking i click the close button i here the pump sound but the roof wont lock fully closed and the red light keep flashing .
I hope i could get a hint on whats happening ??
 
If the roof is fully closed, you can lock the roof manually. This can be done by removing the central cover between the sun visors and then turning the closing mechanism manually with an Allen key / hex socket. I'm sure this process is also detailed in the manual.

It's likely that you roof might not be aligned correctly so this may be preventing the locking mechanism from working.
