2003 Z4 Navigation monitor case cracked

Today when I got in my car after work, I noticed that the monitor didn't rotate up when I started the car. It turns out that the piece of plastic that shells the monitor internals cracked where the gear rotator thing is; it's a simple piece of plastic, but I'm not sure glue will hold it together.

My question is, where can I get a replacement, and is this the correct part (#4.. the cover)? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BT53&mospid=47799&btnr=65_1240&hg=65&fg=45

Or is that something else? I'm not sure if the plastic casing around the monitor internals is part of the central information display or not. I only want the case, not a new monitor it works fine. Thanks for any advice.

Thread revivals are OK. Some sort of warning is also useful, so thanks Woo7dy.

Alberto, You should try to effect some kind of repair if at all possible. You can only replace the entire unit through BMW, at extreme cost. If you just need the case, try looking in auto salvage yards. Good luck.

Part 4 is only a tenner or so. I had to buy one when I retro fitted.

Thread revival in this case seems fair enough to me as he was asking a valid question.

I agree, I just felt the picture was relevant, necessary and funny! And I wasn't clever or knowledgable enough to answer the question sensibly either!
