You need to start off with google translate.
93C7 = switching off module 1 (SBSL)
9473 = s/e diagnostic light performance (SBSL)

Disregard the timeout ones though. The three modules send each other check messages at regular intervals. When you're messing with one of the modules these messages don't get through and flag an issue, so they always clear once you've finished.

So to me this suggests you are trying to code in a new centre module (SIM85), but the codes are telling you there are issues being created by the left satellite module (SBSL)

I assume you are aware you can't actually reprogram using INPA? It shows faults and allows you to clear them, but the reprogramming requires WinKFP, NCS Expert and Tool32.

To help us assist, can you explain exactly what symptoms you got, what codes you initially had and what module you are trying to change/code.

Also, are you replacing the module with one from the compatible list of part numbers?

I have a replacement airbag module now from ebay, with the correct part number 6933985. But when I try to use WinKFP to enter the vin it only shows ECU number 6948087, which is a replacement part. Will it work if I try to code the vin using that number, or is there a different daten file that I need?

That is correct. you always use the latest part number which is 8087 in your case.
You will find then that once it's all coded in, INPA will think it is an 8087, but it doesn't matter as they are all in that same batch.
Before you start coding it, check the errors on all three modules, and clear them all.
Your new one should only show one for wrong VIN to begin with. Once you get that updated it should then show one for system time.
The three modules send check messages to each other all the time, so by the time you finish coding you will probably find several codes on the SIM85 and the SBSR for 'Timeout' as they haven't heard from the SBSL.
You need to clear all these errors before the airbag light will go out.

Brilliant thanks. I only have a vin error code now, so hopefully it will work

I get no response when trying to flash 6948087 with the vin, any ideas? I can flash the main control unit. Using winkfp. There is also no response from the right airbag module?

I have a horrible feeling your replacement module is a dud. :(

I think it may be the main airbag module as I get these codes. What do you think?

Are those on the SIM85?
How has that suddenly lost system time?
Have you tried coding that again?

Try Google translate. First one is system time

So I managed to code the vin to the replacement unit today. It's now showing error codes 9883 and 9878 but I presume I don't need to worry about those, as they are for knee airbag and seatbelt tensioner that I don't have. Is that correct? It's still showing system time error, so if I can get that entered, the light might go off? Do I need to code our the knee airbag etc using NCS expert?

Update on this, I have managed to restart the system time on the modules, clear the error codes, and the airbag light it now off! Thanks for your help

This guide worked https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1LdQXN4JM8V0-s6Xa_E9ZeMlkED_i9vpm/mobilebasic

But instead of using expert profile on NC expert, I used default, as the expert profile would not work

I'm still desperately on the lookout out for a compatible module if anyone's got any leads please help me and let me know. Thanks

I posted about one for sale on ebay a few days back. It was up for £120 and was gone in under an hour!

Hello!
I'm located in Sweden and are trying to help my father-in-law with his bmw z4.

I feel really sorry for him since he haven't been able to drive his z4 e85 for 2 years now, since it won't go through mot here in Sweden.

He has an issue with an airbag light being on, he had it to multiple workshops, including bmw and they haven't sorted it out.

The error code is 0093E7 and they say it's the left airbag satellite with number 65776948087 that is broken and the voltage is 9v to the left but the right has 10v.

The issue is that they can not get a hold of this satellite or repair it.

Do any of you guys know of anyone who can have this module(have read the thread and noticed the issue with finding this part.) and if we found one would you be able to help code it via remote via TeamViewer or so ? Maybe @enuff_zed ?
I bought the cable "Complete kit with k+dcan cable and software (Inpa NCS-expert Tool32 and Winkfp)

Latest Datafiles v.74"

Or maybe I can do it myself with this software ?

Finding a module will be difficult. They are very rare and expensive. The first list I put on page one of this thread shows your number and other compatible ones. I don't have any atm.
This guide will help you do it when you find one: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LdQXN4JM8V0-s6Xa_E9ZeMlkED_i9vpm/edit

Happy to help any way I can, as long as your English is better than my Swedish
Yeah, I saw that list and searched abit. Sent out some emails to company's that had them, will see if they have any in stock.

Thanks slot for the list and the guide, looks like I could sort that out with the guide if I find a module.

I think it's best if we continue in English then 😂
