Well my Z4 is up for sale, I have had it advertised on autotrader and pistonheads and it has generated a lot of interest, but it tends to be Ali G and his mates who are only out to mess you around so I thought I would stick it on here. As you can see from the pictures the car is in beautiful condition and looks stunning. I am a self confessed car cleaning loon, hence it has always been kept very presentable and has been fully detailed during my ownership.
It is well specified with the following:-
- Auto Wipers
- Auto Headlights
- Electric seats with memory
- Heated Seats
- Tyre pressure monitoring system
- Six stack CD changer
- 18" Elipsode wheels, all tyres have good tread
I bought the car for me and the misses to do some open top touring over the summer months. It has been to Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Hampshire and Norfolk and hasn't missed a beat. It has been an absolute pleasure to drive but I now want to put the money into another classic BMW project hence it is up for sale. I am a genuine BMW enthusiast and already have an E28 I use for shows (see pics).
It has a full service history. When I bought the car at the start of the summer I had a full inspection 2 service despite it having a full service only a few thousand miles before. I just like to be sure everything is right especially with the sort of journeys we would be doing. I have completed the following repairs and preventative maintenance:-
- New Genuine BMW expansion tank (very common problem, they crack)
- While the cooling system was off I had the Thermostat and housing replaced and a brand new water pump (very common problem the bearings go)
- Brand new continental auxiliary drive belt
- Rocker cover gaskets replaced
- Bosch Super 4 spark plugs
- Recent bottom arms both sides
- Recent Discs and Pads at front
- K and N Panel filter
- I have just sealed the roof for winter with grangers fabsil.
The car is taxed until February 2011 and MOT'd until July 2011 with no advisories on the last MOT.
It has a private plate which is worth a fair bit and that will go with the car as it does not relate to me in the slightest but hides the year nicely! Both keys and all original folder and manuals are present.
In summary it is a lovely example of a Z4 owned by a genuine enthusiast with all the problem areas sorted. Yes you can find them cheaper but I guarantee you will be spending out on the repairs and preventative bits I have already done.

So there it is, a very nice genuine car! As you can see I already have the E28 which I have done an M50 conversion on but fancy going either S52/S54 and buying something like an E39 for my everyday car or buying an E24 (instead of the conversion on the E28) hence why the Z4 is up for sale. I advertised it for £6250 but I am open to offers. The car is in Stevenage, Herts should you fancy viewing it. The photos below were taken early Oct if I remember rightly and the last two were taken yesterday just to show that it is always kept looking nice!
