For Sale is my 2003 3.0 Auto in Sterling Grey:

MoT until 27th March 2013
Tax until 31st August 2013
70,250 miles (might go up slightly as in regular use)
Cruise
Xenons
Integrated Sat Nav
Integrated Bluetooth/Phone
Analgoue TV,
Black Leather Seats
108 Alloy Wheels

The 108’s are flaking in places but not badly, doesn’t bother me and hasn’t deteriorated in my ownership but if you wanted an A1 car I’d get these done.

The airbag warning light is on (it was when I bought the car) and just haven’t got round to getting it fixed as it doesn’t bother me, but obv the price reflects that it needs to be fixed.

The car is showing 9,600 miles until the next service. However, the previous owner had only covered 2K miles in the 2 years she owned it so when I purchased, myself and a friend changed the oil, brake fluid and all the filters and gave it the once over to ensure it was all fresh. The service history in the book shows as follows:

Pre Delivery at BMW 18/6/03
Oil Service at BMW at 10,955 miles on 10/1/04
Oil service at an indy at 33,042 miles not dated
Inspection 2 and air cleaner and filter plus brake fluid at what looks like a BMW authorized indy at 50,029 miles on 17/12/07
Oil Service at BMW authorized workshop at 64,761 miles on 12/1/10, plus the ‘service’ I did when purchased in April for which I have all the receipts.

I’ve had no problems with the car since I’ve owned it (it’s my second car) so I’ve only covered 2.5K miles since I bought it.

I've got both keys and all the manuals, had the air-con regassed last month and the car is HPI clear. I've got a stubby that I've never fitted!

The car is on matching Bridgestone Run Flats all round and I would estimate they have a minimum of 5mm all round. The car has no dents and only a couple of minor scratches.

Private Plate is not included with the car

I'm based in Crawley, West Sussex

Price is not negotiable - if it doesn't sell I'll just put it in the garage and use on sunny days through the winter :)

Have you read the whole of this thread ........ http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=40364

Are you saying that because the other guy let his go for just under 3k that's the going rate for a Z4 now? :D He was either very desperate to sell or just wasn't too bothered about how much he got for it, you'll always get the odd bargain and that was one of them, good luck finding another Z4 for anywhere near 3k.

I myself think its a good price! The other one that was mentioned that went very cheap was crazy I'd have had two Zeds if I could have brought it that cheap!

Yes that black zed was cheap and I wish I had bought it, cash is king at the moment, I'd have this car at the right price for me .... I sold my 07 Coupe on here for £7k, which everyone thought was silly cheap .... but there was only one chap who had the cash to buy ......

what happened to your boxster?

there are still the odd cheap one about

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-BMW-Z4-3-0I-3-Owners-total-86k-No-Known-Faults-/320984552009?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=bz2ljN4nnlzchWBds5M8JFUobEc%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

i think its a fair price, but given that the summer is over, the amount of buyers are limited. unless its a bargain, it might not sell quickly.

Shameless bump :D

But actually also interested to see if people think this is a good price ?
Wow! In the US, the going rate for an 03 Z4 2.5i is about £9000 ($15,000) with the 3.0i even higher. At those GB prices,, I'd have bought two.

I don't get that because the Z4 was built in the USA so you'd think it'd be cheapest there as there are no import costs. Is there some kind of strange US law that forces foreign companies to price their vehicles higher to start with to promote Ford/GM vehicle sales at home?

Hi I have just bought my Z4 3.0 auto on a 53 plate with 61k, car in VGC paintwork very good and no dings to be seen, for £5000. I spent a couple of months watching sales on Auto Trader, Pistonheads and ebay.. there are a LOT of 2003 & 2004 priced anything between £5900 and £7000, but none of them seem to be selling. It seems over the last few months the price has really dropped. Not sure why, perhaps a lot of the cars are weekenders and owners can no longer afford to run them..But I suspect if you do need to sell you are probably going to take a hit...One thing that was interesting a lot of the sellers I spoke with had only had the car for around the 12 months mark and most were pretty upset that they had paid far more than they were asking and still no interest. I honestly believe if I had waited I might even have got mine cheaper, the guy had started out looking for £6400 and had no real interest all the way down to £5250. but its a great car and I did not want to miss it.
