I have for sale a 2003 E85 3.0i SE manual at 112.5k miles. I’m looking for £4500.
I bought this car in August 2019 as a daily driver and have absolutely loved my time with it. Quite sad to see it go to be honest! A local mechanic mistakenly diagnosed some issues I was having as a blown head gasket so I went out and bought a replacement car and decided to sell this one. Turns out the head gasket was fine and the water pump just needed replacing. Perhaps buying a new car was a bit of an overreaction… Either way I’ve taken it for a few good drives since everything was replaced and all the issues we were seeing have gone now so I’m happy to say it’s fixed.
Maintenance I’ve done includes: new auxiliary belt, new alternator, new rocker cover gasket, replaced both front callipers, new spark plugs and ignition coils, fixed a split rubber boot in the engine bay, a bunch of brake hoses and replaced gearbox and diff fluids.
Improvements include: new drop links (Meyle fronts, Lemforder rear), new springs and shocks (Bilstein B4+Eibach pro kit), front control arm rear bushes (Meyle), rear lower arm outer bushes, new top mounts (Meyle front, Lemforder rear), clutch delay valve delete (valve included in sale), ZHP 6 speed gear knob (original included in sale), retrofit cruise control, retrofit wind deflector including boot brackets and OEM style cup holders. I bought some rear trailing arm bushes too (Meyle, but in a Lemforder box) with the aim of replacing them but I never got round to it. They will be included in the sale.
Issues: some bubbling on the front driver side wheel arch, wheels could do with a refurb, BMW wheel caps are looking pretty tired, a few dents and scrapes here and there (they were there when I bought it!), the front bumper could possibly do with a respray due to age/stone chips and a few age related scratches/bumps that were there when I bought it.
Equipment: Maldives blue, SE steering wheel/seats, satnav, wind deflector, cruise control, electric + heated seats, cup holders, auto-lights and wipers, xenon lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, aux in, ZHP gear knob, style 107 wheels, Goodyear Asymmetric 5s on front with a good amount of tread and brand new Michelin PS4 on the rear, all non-runflat.
MOT has just been done so has another year left. Lots of paperwork included and 2 keys too. Oil service is due in 11k miles (inspection 2 was done previous).
