I have a 2003 E85 that I can't get the clock to go from 24 hours showing to a 12 hour showing. I can set the time, but I can't change it from 24 to 12 hours. May be a stupid question, but I've tried to follow the directions I get on the internt. Any guidence would be appreciated.

I can't remember how to do it, but I do recall it wasn't simple!

Thankfully my current Z4 has the Sat Nav which is pretty hopeless, but does make setting things like that much easier.

Don't you have an owner's manual? Here's a pdf copy. I know it's for a facelift but I think it's the same procedure.

Hold the BC button when in clock mode, that PDF says. I never knew that, and had e46s (same system) for yeeeears!

THANKS, that worked. It's very vague in the manual, but holding the BC button did the trick. When I worked with hospitals, they always used 24 hour time in their reporting of incidents and it always bothered me. Thanks for the fix.

Glad it worked.

Although in Europe most people seem to prefer the 24H format - I certainly do!

There's some sequence where it doesn't work I've found, have to flip through the different screens by pushing the BC button momentarily then when you're back on the clock you can push/hold to change it 12h/24h. Caught me out before even when I've known what I'm doing (for once)
