2003 2.5i sterling silver

Here is my 2003 2.5i Z4 that I have spent thousands on backed up with receipts and service history now have decided to sell.

The car comes with two sets of keys and logbooks v5 present.

In my ownership of two years, I’ve done approximately 5000 miles and in that time have replaced many parts including four brand-new kumho ecsta tires, balancing and tracking, pads and discs all around, air-conditioning re-gassed, new MAF sensor, major service, nsf drop link, lambda sensor, washer system cleaned out.

Only run on texaco 99, roof works, heated seats.

The car has some issues where the revs will bounce up and down from 1k to 2k and brakes feel spongy even though they’ve been replaced. I have included in the photos using my scan tool.

The car will need to be towed if travelling past 5 miles after codes are reset.

Located in Cardiff £1995, 144,672 miles.

Cheap car, but I guess reflects the faults.
FWIW I suspect a replacement DME could cure the issue.
I had similar on one and between [ref]bigwinn[/ref] and I we managed to fit a replacement DME and code it which cured the rev problems.
[ref]umfaan[/ref], do you need another project???

Was just going to say that just needs a new DME (got two in the shed) and an ews flash

As a longstanding member of this forum I have to say I'm quite offended that you are asking £1995 when it's advertised to Joe Bloggs on fb at £1750???

I doubt Blueman will have time to respond. He’s probably dealing with the usual FB clientele.
“Will you accept a bike and a bag of wotsits”
“Can I pay you £100 a month”
“Can you deliver”
“I’m at work, I’ll send a DPD man to collect with cash”
“I’ll defo have it, can you hold till December?”
“I’ll give you £10.. take it or leave it”

Tbh, he'd better answer them all as I can't see anyone on here offering him £245 more than he wants on fb. :headbang:

You missed one:
The FB and eBay classic: "I'll give you £200 and collect it this afternoon".

Apologies the fb post has been taken down and apparently I can’t take this post down I was just looking for a quick sale I’ve spent so much on this car and my mechanic can’t figure it out after 3 visits

You can mark it as no longer for sale.

This would have been the best place to ask for advice on what could have been wrong with the car .

Could you get it as far as Newport?

Forum member "colb" might be able to work some magic for you.

I know Colb yes We’ve been scratching our heads on it and suspected a faulty throttle position sensor but who knows now it may be the dme

Well considering your advert got that suggestion within five minutes it would seem you should have asked that question some time back.
In the meantime by indicating that you think forum members are mugs who will pay more you’ve likely lost any support you may have received!

I’ve apologised already that was not my intention. with regards asking the dme question a certain time ago, these codes only presented themselves today and before hand the only code was a throttle adaption code.

Thank you, for your suggestion of putting me in the right direction was not here to offend, or think anybody was a mug I was just at the end of my tether with this issue.

Ok then. Simply explain why you tried to sell the car for more to forum members.
Taken as a bare fact it really looks like you’re taking us all for mugs.

Ffs get off the power trip. The lad has apologised and now you’re demanding he explains to you!?
Have a day off
