Hello guys

I am new to the forum as I have just picked up a 2004 3.0i at auction, I have found so much useful advice before buying and in the 2 weeks I have owned it, I thought I might put something back.

I called into my local Costco in Coventry the other day for a quote on tyres and found out that from the 11th June 2012 they will be offering 20% off prices if you buy 4 or more tyres, below is the price I am looking at from them with the discount.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 fitted and balanced

225x40x18 £115.18 each
255x35x18 £171.82 each

So a set of MPS 3 tyres fitted comes out at 574.02, if there are any board members here aren't Costco members or only need less than 4 tyres then I am sure I could arrange a meet at the Coventry depot and tag tyres onto my order.

PS I am nothing to do with Costco

all the best

Shame I am not a Doctor, Lawyer or Director ... And need 4 ... And am skint :D

But yes, great heads-up

David, before mmmfive beats me to it, did you know the Michelin PS3 are not the replacement for the PS2s?

I am sure a few year ago the offer was buy 4 tyres for the price of 2. Then 4 for 3.

Includes free fitting too... And whenever you want... So last time i bought 4 of the same tyres on my runabout changed the front 2 at time of purchase and took the other 2 home.

12 months later had them fit the other 2 to the front, foc.

Handy on the Z for the fast wearing rear.

Whilst the 20% off is a decent discount, I've found that Costco have become uncompetitive in their Michelin prices over the last couple of years. Often you can find substantially cheaper prices on the internet which lessens the impact of their 20% offer. As aquazi says they used to offer better deals as well.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I have just realised that my forum email notifications were heading straight into my junk email folder.

Flimper, yes I realise that they are not a direct replacement for the PS2s, but they get a very good review from Autoexpress' 2011 review

I have priced up a set of Falkan FK452s and the best I could get fitted was £499, so the Michelins are only £76.00 more, just a little worried about whether the Michelins would be a better choice than the Falkans as so many people have recommended them?

Any input would be appreciated.

Just e reminder of this offer starting, I will be getting my tyres sometime this week in Coventry, if anyone just wants two tyres they could add them to my order if we go to Costco together.

David

Am happy to extend this to anyone from Kent / Essex that wants to get tyres fitted when I am in Costco....

OFFER ENDS 1st July 2012 @ COSTCO

Nice one Jembo, I will be getting new tyres tomorrow, as long as my 108s have been refurbished to a good standard. Pictures and review to follow.
