Well this is it folks, the start of the 20k thread.

Forgive me, internet access from the other side is dire, so no pictures yet.

So where is the other side I here you all say. Well this morning I met up with the Machine Monkey, Taz and Number5. We caught the 10AM ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe "The other side of the channel" and then drove 150 odd mile to Mr. Wilks pad where we are spending the next few days.

Just had a nice meal cooked my Mr. Wilks and settling down with a drink or two. No doubt the lads will post some pics later on etc if we can get access for long enough. If not big posts when we get back. :D

Your patience paid off. 8) We've all been sitting here, in anticipation, waiting for you to reach the other side. I can appreciate the wait a little, having timed my 3000th post to coincide with my Birthday last year.

Have a great road trip and keep those post coming. :)

Those Gold starts sure are cool too.

Lucky buggers!

Monkey Blue is giving Sepang some competition. Looks ace, even with half of Ray Mears' survival kit hanging off the boot lip.

You guys certainly know how to do things in style.
We neophytes applaud you.

Mat, get your roof down :poke:
Its coming down tomorrow, even if we have to cut it off..

There's also serious talk of a "Keys in the middle" swap tomorrow as I've never driven an //M and the boys have never driven an Alpina.
Steve and Matt might not be playing though !!! :(

Congrats! All sounds fun and a bit jealous as I'm hosting my olds for the next few days. You should deffo swap keys; I'd love a go in an Alpina...
