Yes,this week my Zed had its second birthday so i thought i would get all emotional and recount those 24 months together.I bought it as an exercise in extreme retail therapy;my wife had died six months earlier and i had had a heart attack at the tender age of 50.I spent most of my working life in the car industry and had, literally, hundreds of new cars.None of them made me grin from ear to ear as much as my first drive in this car.The noise, the comfort, the head-turning looks, the performance and all round joy factor have been superb. Two years on,i still look forward to every journey;it's behaved faultlessly in every way and still makes me smile. :driving:

Everytime I open the garage it brings a smile to my face.

Strange how material things can cheer you up. :)

enjoying the Z
good luck to you mic
great cars with great charisma , mine makes me smile whenever i lift the garage door :)

i know what you are going through, i lost my first wife at around the same age as you. now some 12 years on i'm happily remarried, retired, and enjoying my second z4 sdrive.

i had a major health scare earlier this year but have had the all clear now.

so, as none of us know what life is going to throw our way next, live for the moment, i certainly do now!

Agree totally;we were fortunate to have enough to be able to stop working when she was diagnosed in 2007 and i haven't worked since as my perspectives have changed dramatically.

My car is now 30 months old and I have done 63,000 smiles, great buy and surely makes driving pleasurable

Makes you realise that life is a bit of a tightrope walk!

Reading this helps to keep silly little problems (like faults with the car) in perspective.
