2 years no claims HELP?

Hi guys,

I have built up two years no claims bonus with my previous insurer, on my renewal policy is states as such... however. My new insurer is disputing the fact I have attained this because my 'period of cover' states from 20/08/13-20/08/14' but i'm presuming this is for the coming year as in the renewel... NOT from the years gone past... im so confused...

Is there anywhere on my insurance document that will say 'other than the part that says two years' that my new insurer will need dates wise to 'prove' i've attained this level of discount?

any help would be appreciated.

Hi Brad

Your previous insurer should be able to send back your "no claims proof" which will show the year you gained with them plus any previous years which you proved you had to them when you started the policy. It should be really straight forward :-(

Who are you with ATM? I've had a pain with a company recently who demanded such odd paper work which would have incurred me fines if I didn't abide. Pft

Insurance companies all work differently and show different information on their certificates.

Because of this I keep every certificate and renewal showing my entitlement so that if ever required I can provide proof of no claims going back 14+ years.

Can only suggest you get proof from your last insurance company.

I was with admiral, now with Adrian Flux.

I have a document from Admiral which is my 'proof of no claims' it states 'Two' at the bottom of the document... but only says that my period of cover was for a year, not two years?? But I think Adrian Flux are being retards because the date they are referring to clearly states 2013-2014... this date hasnt even happened yet....??

What I think they want is a document that says Brad was with us from 2012-2014 he has two years no claims... go fk yourselves basically?

I don't know. The document says 2 years... I don't know what they want from me. lol

Yes that's all they should need then. I've had insurance through flux previously and had just left admiral - sent them a copy of the form you mention without a problem. Perhaps give them a call, you'll likely get someone else on the end of the phone who might help. The guy who sold me my insurance a year or so ago with them was a cowboy and when I called up about it I got the customer services rather than sales who were great and sorted everything out.
