2 month old Roof motor packed in

I had a new roof motor fitted by my local BMW dealer as they found the old one was corroded and on its last legs as part of their quest to sort out a leak in my 2004 Z4. Get in the car this afternoon, press the button to lower the roof, the switch is lit red, but not a sound from the roof. Check the 3 roof fuses, all ok and replace the roof switch with an old one I have, but same result, red light and no movement. Now I know it will be back to the dealers in the morning, but as anybody else had similar problems with replacement hood motors?
 
I think you might just have saved me from embarrassing myself in the dealers tomorrow. I haven't checked yet, but I remember putting the tray up the other night to get the shopping in. Thanks Again
 
If the tray is up the light would be orange not red :confused:

That was the answer, lowered the tray and the roof is working fine. I am sure the light was red, but then again I am Red/Green colour blind

No problem,just glad it was so simple.

I said similar on another thread, someone suggested the orange came in on facelifts and it was red before?
