Hi everyone,

I am a new and very happy owner of a Z4MC but I have a couple of questions to throw out there...

I have been looking through older threads but got kind of lost looking into the possibility of retro fitting a pax airbag shut off. Due to being so surprised that the Mrs ok'd the arrival of the Zed I completely forgot to check if it had a shut off. Now having owned it for a couple of weeks I realise it hasn't!

Apparently BMW say it is possible on the Roadster but not the Coupe and anyway the parts are not available any more through BMW so I was wondering if there is any after market options?

Also should I be considering a stainless exhaust? Thought it would look great and sound even better but which should I consider? don't want it too loud though...

Imo no aftermarket exahust sounds better than stock. Looks yes, sound no...

If you want a little more noise, how about a Gruppe M.

I had no idea - is that a UK thing or are all cars overseas like that? If the latter, I'd guess you need the parts from over here, maybe someplace that parts out BMWs...

Here's a link to a previous thread about the airbag deactivation question. Although the OP had a non-M, I can't imagine there being any difference as far as the airbag equipment is concerned. It sounds like it's a bit tricky and the OP ended up getting another car.

I've not got any personal experience of aftermarket exhausts. But have a search on the forum because there are a fair few threads on this. Also if you have a look around on You Tube, you'll should find some home movies that'll give you an idea of the sound that certain systems make.
 
Lots of threads about the exhaust. I think the standard exhaust is too quiet for such a raw M car.
 
remus sounds very nice,i along with some others on here have remus fitted :thumbsup:
