2 generations of proper M Cars

OP, since you have a white M2 what are your thoughts on the M side stripes? http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/discover-bmw/accessories/accessoryDetail.accessoryId=10948.html#accessoriesDetailFooterNote

I won't mind the M performance strips if that's what you are referring (can't open the link) as they make the car even more aggressive. However, as I am using this as my daily driver including business, I will probably look a bit silly turning up at my client's in a car with racing strips. 😂

By the way; a "normal" M-car is NOT build for the track! You can indeed use them on the track; but a BMW M is initially designed as a fun and exiting street car (with still some comfort and useability). For example; a standard Z4M is not great on track...the brakes are crap...you can make it great on track but a BMW M is not designed as mainly a track car.

I agree about the intent of the original M cars (the intent of the current M cars seems to be that customers will pay more for anything with an M attached hether or not the car warrants it).

In regard to your comment about the Z4M brakes, I haven't had the same experience. Perhaps you are talking about the stock BMW supplied pad material? I use Porterfield R-4S and am quite pleased with them.
