2 day correction with 22PLE ceramic/glass coat

I have looked at getting this for mine,but the only problem is (as i would be doing it myself),i dont have a garage,and it needs to be under cover,away from the elements,uv/rain etc for at least 8-10hrs and then doesnt "fully cure" for around 5days :(

It does look superb though...really brings out the colour :D
The depth of shine looks great :thumbsup:
 
Some more pics now added to the first post.

Wasn't really looking forward to driving it back from the Cotswolds to Liverpool (140 miles) in the damp/spray/salt tonight, but I've got to say it looks like it hasn't picked up much of the grime.

I would have shown it off to the group doing the North Wales run this weekend, but a bit of frost/snow/ice/storms has put them all off :poke:

Sorry, picked it up at about 5:30pm and was in a hurry to get back to post the extra photo's for everybody.

Only took about 2h15m to get back home, and had some fun with a Scooby on the B4077 between Lower Slaughter & the M5. Would have left him alone, but he was taking the P by overtaking on the double whites whilst I was patiently waiting for a proper overtaking opportunity. Followed him (cruising in 6th) for about 30 miles before he turned off the M5. Scooby was quick enough, but the driver couldn't take a corner to save his life and was braking half-way through, upsetting the car and then blasting off again - whilst I just kept he same speed through the corners and sat on his arse :oops:

The 22PLE was put on yesterday and it was left inside secure storage until I picked it up this afternoon.

My mate is having his CSL done too, but his wasn't ready as it's not had time to dry :P
 
Looks amazing!

Although the thing with the before pictures... I'm sure your car never looked that bad (was under direct lighting) before... Except as you say the odd street light/ petrol station.

Well it's covered in snow now, and there's no way I'm brushing that off until the 22PLE has cured properly :P

Can't see much beading though (except on the wheels)...

...and the snow has been sliding off regularly throughout the day as it gets to about 2" deep on the car.

Ooh that snow, with grit between it and the paint, sliding down the paint... this will be a nice test of the ceramic coating!
 
Lucky with that snow being 2 days later as i read PLE should be kept out of rain, snow, washing etc for the first 24hrs.


Looking foward to some current pics, I normally use 2 types of DODO Juice wax 24hrs apart and that's good for about 4 months after that. If the PLE lasts even longer (claimed 18 months!) then I'd be tempted to get some.
 
Well, about 3/4 weeks in and I've covered about 2000 miles in all weathers.

As I wanted to see if it stood up to the 'perfect for daily drivers' claim, the only 'cleaning' I've done is sno-foam and a couple pressure washer rinses.

Still holding up to the rain, but I don't think it's as shiny as it was. Next step will be some very light shampooing, but I'm guessing this 'daily drive' claim is really only applicable if you only drive daily in the Florida/California summer, as mine gets filthy on the way down to London and sits there all week until I drive home on Thursday and foam/rinse it down.
