The time has come to sell my 2.5si Roadster.
When I bought it last year I was working much closer to home so was able to use it for the daily commute (the family car was needed most of the weekend). Now I rarely get to drive it in the week or weekend so have decided to consolidate my family and sports car in to one that will do (sort of) everything.
So before I put it on to ebay/Gumtree etc, I thought I'd see if anyone on here may be interested.
My 2007 77k mile Z4 is the facelift 2.5si version boasting a 218hp power output, 6 speed manual gearbox and sport button (as opposed to the lower powered, 177hp, version with 5 speed and no sport button).
The facelift version is a wonderful place to be and this particular Z4 comes with an incredibly rare interior combination of "individual BMW" red leather (deeper than the usual red option) and piano black trim which sets it off perfectly (quite hard to show how good the trim looks in photos).
It also has heated seats and factory fitted wind deflector.
Also, a rare addition for the E85 Z4, is the passenger airbag switch and isofix points on the passenger seat meaning that summer fun isn't just limited to the adults.
This car comes with an MOT until July 2021 and has just had the following work:
New coil pack, so it runs as smoothly as you would expect from the straight 6 engine
New suspension arms
New bushes
New handbrake shoes
The roof motor has been previously relocated in to the boot to prevent the usual flooding issue.
All four matching tyres have plenty of tread, with the two rears being replaced just a couple of thousand miles ago.
The few minor areas I have not addressed during my ownership are the fact that there is only 1 working key (There is a second copy, so may just need reprogramming), there are some scratches on the plastic front underneath the grill which is only visible when you bend right down so is not usually noticeable (you can see it in the last photo) and the roof sometimes needs a gentle hand as it swaps between the initial electric motor and main hydraulic one (it has done this the whole time I have owned it and opens/closes fine every time so causes no issues).
I'm based in Worsley, Manchester for viewings
I've been looking in all the usual places for a fair price and there isn't much comparable out there. The only similar example was at a dealer for a fiver under £7k, which (as much as I'd like to think mine is worth that much) seems a bit heavy.
So I'm figuring £5,500 is a fair price.
