Best to just upgrade to and ///M as it will be cheaper (unless local taxation is an issue).
BMW will put the exact same engine in a range of different badge designations, the only difference is the programming of the engine control module. The programming prevents the engine from utilising its full potential output. This is what is meant by "de tuned." In some cases a different intake manifold is also fitted so a simple re-programming is not enough to upgrade the engine to a more powerful version.Simn said:What? No, you would need a new engine, block and virtually all components will be different.
