2.5si to 3.0si swap - other differences?

Hi guys
I have an option of buying a very cheap 2.5si with dead engine and a good 3.0si motor. I am pretty much capable of doing the swap on my own, and it seems really tempting at the first glance, but I started looking around realoem and I've noticed a lot of other differences - gearbox, clutch, driveshaft, diff, front brakes, even the shifter - all of that is different between 2.5 and 3.0.

Are they just weaker components? Or are there different transmission/diff ratios etc.? Do you know of any other differences between those versions?

I have no idea but does that 3.0 engine come with the price of the car? Or do you have a line on the engine separately?

The reason I ask is, if it comes with the price of the car, you could always sell the engine and use that money to pick up a used 2.5 engine.

From what some say, there is not a huge difference between the two performance wise. I don’t know personally as I have never driven a 2.5.

Just a thought.
