Hi all,

Car: 2.5i SE manual Z4
Year: 2006 (facelift)
Mileage: 108,000
Location: Essex, UK
MOT: April 2023
Price: reduced price of £3,500 £3,350 for forum members
Full video walk around: https://youtu.be/eOdjxOrdooE

I purchased the car 12 months ago and have enjoyed some great drives during summer weekends - sadly though, I haven’t got the use out of it that I was expecting to. With the lease coming up on my main car, I’ve decided to replace both with one car and therefore the time’s come to move my Z4 onto another enthusiast. So, this presents a great opportunity for someone to benefit from a very well-cared for car that’s ready to be driven into Spring with its fresh MOT and all of the common E85 fixes taken care of for you.

Mechanics: The 2.5l straight six engine feels very fresh, delivering plenty of power and making a brilliant noise. There’s no leaks (replacement valve cover gasket fitted last month). The six speed manual gearbox feels lovely and sharp thanks to a recent gearbox oil replacement. The car drives generally beautifully - lots of care has been given and service history is comprehensive. I’ve spent £2k+ in the last year for complete peace of mind which someone else can now benefit from!

Exterior: The titan silver paintwork is generally in good condition, though it could do with some attention in a few areas. The front bumper has a scuff at the bottom and is stone chipped. Rear bumper has a couple of small scuffs and a tiny indent with small crack to the plastic lip inside the boot lid (not visible from outside). There’s no rust and underneath the car looks very clean, there is however some cosmetic corrosion around the keyhole of the bootlid. The roof is immaculate, the (rare) 202 18” alloys could do with a refurb, glass is all clean and free from scratches/chips. Tyres are all fine with 5-6mm of tread.

Interior: The black leather sports are in very good condition and are heated (lovely on chilly mornings!). Overall, it’s very presentable and a nice place to be; all electrics work as they should, including the optional rear parking sensors. The roof goes up/down smoothly and quickly every time.

Paperwork: All present and correct! V5 is included with the original BMW wallet, all handbooks for the car, a stamped service logbook and two original keys.
In the past year I’ve had the following works completed by BMW specialists, all of which can be accounted for with invoices to accompany:
- Differential replaced
- Both rear wheel bearings replaced
- Both front wishbones & bushings replaced
- Brake hoses replaced
- Both front brake callipers replaced, new discs, pads, sensors and brake fluid
- Gearbox oil replaced
- Valve cover gasket replaced

There are also many previous invoices before my ownership show that common faults such as the water pump, window mechanism, rear coil springs etc… have all be been sorted.

Full service history as follows and documented in a stamped service log:
15k oil service, 32k inspection 1, 50k oil service, 67k inspection 1, 76k inspection 2, 80k inspection 1, 93k inspection 2, 99k oil service, 106k oil service (DIY)

Thanks and please don’t hesitate to message with any questions. I can be contacted here or on 07860883392

Note: car is advertised elsewhere and at a higher price; happy to accept £3,350 from a forum member.

That looks a great car. Bit at a loss to know why it's still not sold?
I'd be tempted if I wasn't already upsetting the missus by juggling 3 on the drive every time she wants to go out.
Hope it finds a good home soon.

Cheers! To be fair, there’s been plenty of “best price for cash deal today!?” messages from FB marketplace but I don’t know if I’m ready to entertain that lot yet! Would much rather it go for an agreeable price to someone from here. It’s a lovely little car, drives great and has a year on the MOT.

Let me know if you can magic up some driveway space and fancy a deal!

Very clean looking car. I wouldn’t go too much lower. I think it would be worth trying Autotrader and Ebay as well.

Thanks! Good to hear, eBay might be a good call.

I advertised my 3.0 on here last year which imo was a really good example but didn’t get much interest on the forum. It sold very quickly via AT

I’m sure with the warmer months on the way you will get a sale soon.

How bad is the rear wheel bearing mentioned in the MOT? Heard they are a pig of a job.

Ah, glad you asked… Very frustrating! Rear wheel bearings were both replaced in July 2021 with genuine BMW parts by a trusted BMW specialist as they were mentioned on the last MOT as advisories.. Despite this, the MOT centre where it was tested last month noted one as an advisory for “light noise”… I quizzed them about this and they did admit that it was a bit lazy and they couldn’t substantiate any noises. Because it was noted, they cannot retract it annoyingly. Please see image below for the invoice showing the work completed:

Any more questions, please let me know. Happy to talk on the phone if it would help.

Cheers!

Ok so bit of a read herring. I’m kinda in the market for another one and regret selling my last. I see your number so might drop you a message. FYI I’m in Derby so not exactly local.
