Finally got the S3 yesterday morning. The delay was due to having to get another copy of some paperwork sent out. This took a week or so but it's finally here.
Insurance with Adrian Flux saved me nearly £700 on the original quotes I had.
The car, all I can say is WOW!
Certainly a different driving experience than the Z4 but how much different?
Comfort and softer suspension are instantly noticable along with the ride height.
The build quality, comfort etc is far superior to the Z4 and to any other BMW I've had in the past. Perhaps close to the 2001 320 CI SE Coupe I had but it's certainly better and an absolute pleasure to drive.
The acceleration is nothing short of astonishing although it will be going back for a few blemishes on the paintwork I noticed after I got home.
Still a bit wary of cornering at higher speeds as was normal in the Z4 but I'll get there soon.
Biggest noticable change is the quiet due to the tintop and the turning circle doesn't seem as good as the Z4.
I'm certainly going to miss the Z4.
