Ok, please no smarty pants saying get another two pots! But has any one made any engine mods to increase the power of the 2.0l?

Only realistic option is a supercharger. But erm... for the cost you could PX for an extra few pots *cough*.

I am getting an ECU remap on a 2.0 from a company called http://www.flashremapping.co.uk/

They are a part of www.jwe-automotive.co.uk

They state an 18 bhp & 24Nm increase in performance. They come to you £269. Sounds good on paper but I am taking a gamble. I will let you know how I get on. It does sound rather good..... we will see

Cheers :)

I was going to get mine done but the chap said there was not much point. Diesels benefited the most, the petrols really only smoothed the power curve and solved dead spots. I can't wait to get some real world experience so please keep us informed.

Ok, she's no Z4M but I've just gone on a test run and the results are very impressive :D in fact I am delighted. I guess we all have our doubts with these ECU remaps but for those of us without the two 'extra pots' I wholeheartedly recommend these guys even to those with the extra pots.

They came to me, took about 2 hours to do, very friendly and polite.

Definite seal of approval!

Cheers

How has it been improved? Extra mid range grunt? Quicker acceleration? Smoother delivery? Interested as I've 2.0 and would like all of the above ;)

I feel the biggest gains are in the mid range- definitely better on acceleration. I am very satisfied with the results. When I went on my maiden run there was a big difference noticed overtaking which I suppose translates into smoother delivery of power.

I was informed to expect around a 6% increase in MPG if I drove conservatively with reduced CO2 emmisions which is great.... so I'm going to drive conservatively.....

Cheers :)
