Been lurking for a few months since my purchase of my 2.0 roadster nearly 2 years ago left me wanting more power; went to a garage to test drive a Cayman S when i noticed the M and once I had been out in it i couldnt stop smiling, I had to have it! So on thursday I pick up my carbon black 07 Coupe with red leather :D

Couple of questions regarding my iphone, currently im using a Dice iPod connection kit but since my M has professional nav does this come with bluetooth connectivity? Also i think the gearknob while looking like my ZHP knob was actually larger? Although im not entirely sure as it was the last thing i was paying attention too!

That's roughly twice the power isn't it?! Great choice, but being a fellow Carbon Black coupe owner I'm biased!

Bluetooth was a separate option (option 633) from the pro navigation (option 609), but I don't know if you can have one without the other. It's a bit of a pain pairing the phone as it's not an obvious way of doing it, but my Galaxy S2 syncs fine and the address book shows. Not sure about the gear knob question.

You'll love the new car I'm sure, it's such an uncompromising car, quite an experience and with an absolutely fantastic engine noise.

As above BT seperate to Nav, but likely to have it having Nav.

Gear knbo is probably standard //M one having no chromw ring and being illuminated and slightly longer as you say.

You can replace with ZHP or illuminated ZHP among others.

Oooh exciting .. you're gonna have fun in this rain :D

You can indeed have nav without bluetooth & vice versa. Even if it has bluetooth, you wouldn't get audio just calls with an iphone. Few of us have intravee's which rock Apple devices through the nav screen. If it's an 07 it should have an Aux-in though.

Welcome to the 3.2

I have to ask, what did you think of the Cayman, I recall the BoxterS I drove, prior to buying my Roadster, felt slow a boring in comparison, but I haven't tried a Cayman.

Dont think i could call it slow or boring but it certainly didnt give me the same thrill, seemed much more sensible and the noise had nothing on the M. Felt as if i was needing an everyday car over longer miles it would maybe be a better option, but far less fun!

Will post some pics once I pick it up tomorrow, here's hoping for nice weather!

Well been and picked it up without any problems although had to come back to work :(

Quite simply its amazing, love the power, the noise, the grip etc. Such a beast.

I am thinking of painting the calipers red to match the interior, plus im going to get intravee II so if anyone wants a DICE Silverline I-BMW-T/5V i'll take £50 delivered, also have a non stubby aerial and some used OEM mats (passengers good condition, pics if required) from my roadster someone can have for free :D

I used to have a Cayman S before my Z4MR, they are different cars if you ask me. The Cayman is more grown up and refined (read less raw).

I found it quite a boring car to drive at normal speeds, a Boxster S would of probably been better with the roof down for more atmosphere.

I painted by calipers on my carbon black ///M. This should give you an idea of what they'll look like if you go for it.
