2.0 sounds tinny?

Hi all
Since I have owned my Zed for the last few weeks I have noticed the engine sounds a little tinny, I also have an Audi A4 2.0l turbo and that sounds tinny, is this the injectors or is the engine block aluminium?
 
Lack of the extra 2 cylinders maybe ? 8)
I have had a 1.8T VW engine & that just had no sound , kind of silent no matter how you revved it .now a V8 645 i had didn't sound at all hollow or tinny , nor did the flat 6 aircooled 911 :) they sounded sweet & purposeful just ticking over :wink:
Guess you could make some noise with a different air filter & exhaust system :roll:
