2.0 idle ?

My other half has had her 2.0 sport for a couple of weeks now - went back to the dealer today to check the idle. It feels quite rough with a noticeable vibration through the gear stick and pedals. The dealer said they couldn't find a problem and they all feel like that. My 3.0 Coupe doesnt (ok smoother straight 6 but the 4cyl is hardly a rough engine). I'd appreciate anyone elses feedback before i have another moan to the dealer :fuelfire:

Is the idle steady or has ups and downs like it is going to stop? If yes then ask dealer to load the latest Software version. Some 2.0 lt had this (mine too), but after loading the latest S/W it was fixed at once.

A possible reason for the vibration feeling might be the rubber mounts of the gearbox suspension and/or the engine suspension ones.

It is not correct that "all 2.0 lt feel like that". Mine does not have any vibration ...neither any rough feeling...
 
Idle speed is steady - it just feels rough on idle a bit like its 'missing'. I'll take a good look at it at the weekend. Cheers for the response.

Hi did you get a result on your rough idle? Mine has always been a bit lumpy at idle, I just presumed it was the tuning as it's not really unpleasant but a bit mgb ish if you know what I'm getting at.

Good to find out if you found out anything
