I personally would go for a 2.2 as that 6 cyl engine sounds so good and so much better than the 4 cyl

I have a 2.0i that growls to differ

A nice exhaust + cold air induction can make a 2.0 growl enough to make the M boys envious :P

Ahh well that sounds great that it growls a sports car has to growl :) I never tire of hearing my 3.0 growl it is smile inducing.

Get a bypass pipe fitted around the back box and you'll never ever stop smiling again.

I have 2.0 . . I want the growl. . must prod MM when I can to sort me out! Then an induction.

Like above anyone can drive a fast car, but not everyone can drive a car fast!! Think ive just confused myself. . :?

Scotty

It's impossible to drive fast in 2.0  even 2.5 feels slow unless slow unless you keep the revs close to the red line

Are you a boy racer ? Last I checked speed limit on British Roads was 70 mph, and that's on a motorway. Therefore your statement should read "It is impossible to drive fast in any Z4 unless you want to break the speed limit or you are on a track". :poke:

▲▲▲ I never mentoned public highways! :) had just as much fun on trackdays in a 1.6 mx5 then those in faster cars. One of the reasons I went 2.0 nice knowing you dont have the bang there as drive alot more sociable in ky eyes anyway! Now sound . . . . Thats good at any speed!

Whoops. Didnt take offence so no need to worry. I have my 4 year old in the car most times so for me. All about show rather than go for me now.

Play date for 4 yr olds ![/quote]

Sounds like a plan but my lad is mental!! ha ha. Although I will be one with the roof UP!! My lad picks the worse times for up and down. . . strange but as a parent you HAVE to listen to them apparently!! Back on topic. . 2.0 is perfect for my situation . . horses for courses. . hopefully not mains! Not fast, not the slowest . . top down. . simples!! :)

My car is good enough for me.But if you want serious speed and acceleration you can't beat a sports motorcycle.0-60 in less than 4 seconds and 170+ mph. When i've had a good drive in my car I come home smiling, but on the bike I come home grinning. :P :P
But my bike is loosing out because I love my Zed so much

Now, now! :D

Well, Its done. I put the deposit down on my car last night. Picking it up early next week.

A silver 2.0 sport, 2006 facelift with only 19k on the clock. Just serviced at Park Lane BMW, 12 months tax + MOT, Its got the wheels that I wanted, the only thing I'm not 100% on is the maverick blue leather interior but even thats growing on me. I can swap them out if need be! I feel like I got a very good deal on a car that is 99% immaculate, almost as new.

Very happy.

Nice, I bet you cant wait for the pick up day. Remember to post some pics.

just go for the 3.0

I've had both the 2.0 and 3.0

2.0 just doesn't hit the spots for me, the fuel economy difference isnt massive
