I recently decided to buy a new pair of Ray Bans and thought it would be a good time to upgrade to a Polarised pair 8)

During a brief sunny spell the other day I noticed that now when looking down at the radio display it's 'invisible' :(

No problem, just tilt your head 90 degrees when you look at the radio

Tried that - still can't see it :)

Polarized are for fishing or being outside, non polarized are for the car , :headbang:
All my regular glasses are graduated bifocals with automatic tint.....no tint in the car.

Polarised sunglasses are very useful on wet days with low sun reflected off the road surface.

Benefit of being an ‘old git’ I don’t have any hair to mess up

Just picked up my first pair of 'real' glasses yesterday from the optometrist (had been using supermarket reading glasses for the last couple of years). They came with a pair of same-prescription sunglasses, and I had to tell them multiple times I didn't want their 'upgrade' to polarized, for the same reason as the OP's - can't see the infotainment units in any of our cars (except the Z4 satnav, which doesn't seem to be a problem).
I'm liking the sunglasses for driving, but the prescription is proving utterly useless for computer screens, which was one of the main uses I told them I needed the glasses for. Imagine a piece of cardboard covering your computer screen, with a hole about 5cm in diameter in the centre. That's all that's in focus, the rest I have to move my head like watching tennis to go from side to side to read anything. So it's back to the supermarket glasses when using the PC.... :headbang: Can't go back to the Optometrist for a couple of weeks as I'm supposed to try to 'get used to it' before going back for any adjustments etc.
I F@ckin' hate getting old.....

The real definition of getting old is looking at your computer screen over your glasses

Use the presets

Not an option :)
I never listen to the radio - all the chatter and adverts drive me nuts. I have an Ipod connected all the time. Just can't see the tracks/play lists without lifting the glasses up

I have noticed similar, in particular the ‘grid’ pattern on people’s rear windows. I’d much rather have glare free driving though.
