I've just purchased a Z4 2.5SE both 1st & 2nd are notchy when cold. I am having it looked at end of next week, so I'll let you know what BMW come up with

Are you saying you haven't had your oil changed in 3 years? Don't they change your oil once a year regardless of how few miles you have? I'll have less than 5k miles my 1st year and plan to have them change the oil then.tec243 said:With that, I wll have owned the car close to three years !! I must admit the CDV was my first though as well.
yea, I have been thinking about installing a mod CDV for a while now. You're right that it probably won't do much for the 1st to 2nd notchyness, but the clutch engagement just doesn't feel smooth/right to me and I've been driving a stick for over 35 years.
