Hi Guys,

I'm up to 16,500 miles and my computer says i'm due my first service.

What can I be expecting to pay for this as I don't what to drop dead when BMW hit me with the bill :o

Thanks

ummm not sure, i got my car from a bmw auction but a assume i have a 3 year warrenty as someone told me that is standard when buying a bmw.

can anyone in the uk clear this one up for me. will my warrenty cover my first service?

Your warrenty doesn't cover this?

Not in UK, service inclusive was/is not an option on the Z4, but you do have a 3yr Warranty

I am almost due my 1st service and was quoted £152 all in but that is for a 2.0i. All I'm saying is shop around - I'm sure you won't find it as shocking as you think!

BTW Have you had your brake fluid changed yet? Its every 3 years from date of registration (weirdly not from date of manufacture so my dealer tells me) and I was quoted £70 all in.

I was told by my dealer that the brake fluid should be changed at 2 years. Whatever, I had it done on my 3.0SE with the service and all in all it came to just under £300.

It should be a standard oil service which at most dealers seems to cost £180, some are a little over £200 though, just ring around. You may be able to get 10% off too.

Get yourself in contact with BMW and they will confirm. They were very helpful when I contacted them via the website. Full warranty booklet and documents arrived on my doorstep 2 days later with confirmation that the warranty and car were registered in my name. I know the warranty should follow the car but I wasnt taking the risk.
