1st Problem !

So I only got my Zed this week! Prior to buying the car, I was advised that the headlamps had compensation but not to worry as this was "being sorted". Both headlamps are a wash with condensation. I am not technical when it comes to Cars, but reading all the posts, the suggested fix is to dry them out and then get new sealed back plates.

My concern is I am not in a position to remove bumpers etc. Can I access the lights and panel via wheel arches? or am i beter off just getting something like this to replace them both?

My thoughts are, if I am paying a garage to take the bumper off and dry out lights I may as well just replace the lights for something that looks better?

You can get to it from under the wheel arch.

My first zed was terrible for it. Think a bulb had been changed and the back plate wasn't put back on properly.

Hi, so turn full lock and go from there? You think I will be able to put new plate on doing it this way?

some folk have had issues with non oem headlights. you are better off fixing the issue with yours.

Agreed - look up how to change a bulb or convert for euro driving, as this shows how to get to where u need.

Get a hair drier in the back on low heat on a dry day, leave for an hour afterwards, check seals & edges & then refit.

Lamps should be watertight as I never had any issue

yes you will be able to get the back plate off the lights with the wheel on full lock. It helps to be a contortionist or failing that jack the corner up

The lights from 2exite are first class, but to help sort condensation silicone grease or Vaseline on the rubber seal will help keep the covers waterfroof

The way i did it was lock the wheels to the right to get access to right headlight.

You can replace the covers (comes with the seals) for ~14 each. (If the seals are still good, just clean them off put on a little grease or oil so they dont dry out)
