Nice wheels
+2 on that one
It's such a shame you snapped your aerial off, though. I bet you're gutted. :o
Once you get over 70 things begin to break and fall off. It’s just the natural order of things.

That car would look soo much nicer with a "Tamiya" aerial; or better still a 1981 CB radio "twig" that loops round at 180 degrees and is stuck onto the front wing. Now that would be class

It's good to hear that you were able to put some miles on your Z4 Ian.

Having a Tesco superstore a mile from home I keep finding myself going to Morrisons or Asda just so I can have a decent drive!
Judging by the number of cars on the road today a lot of people had legitimate errands to do.
What lockdown?
Pretty quite on the roads here. Though not like lock down one. Very happy that Cornwall has one of the lowest Covid infection rates and certain that the two are connected.

I tried to spec that colour with cream leather - Had to settle for Grey with black leather. I could have had the colour combo but not in 35is form.
I like the cream leather but would worry about keeping it looking good. SWMBO reckons black is just right for me.

My OH says the exact same, black leather, no option as cream would be a PITA to keep looking good

Having lived what seems half my life in coal hole black and everything black Audis I say some light interiors are a welcome change!

If you were using the car for carrying the normal rubbish of work and life, maybe, but for most these are toys...keeping the interior clean on a nice day, occasional toy can't be that difficult?

Also with the roof up (I know it should be down all the time)..a black interior in these is even more claustrophobic..

Cream leather is just fine. I would happily have bought a Z4 with such. Our lounge suite is cream leather, MrsG was a child minder back 18 years ago when we bought it and it still looks just fine. It's going very soon, not because it's scruffy, but because it's definitely time for a change :D .

Yes, there was 'Graphite' (pale grey) in the 911 and now 'Ivory White' (er ... white like ivory) in the 35iS and both were/are successful in providing a light, pleasant, easy-enough-to-clean place to be.

The key factor, I think, is the quality of the (German?) nappa leather. I had a Jag with pale cream (Connolly hide?) seats. All you had to do was look at them and they cracked.

Mind you, I'd rather have cracked cream leather seats than sit in the back of a friend's black-upholstered Panamera. What a miserable place to be.

For me it’s mainly transfer of blue from, newish jeans. Happened on both a cream leather suite and a Saab convertible so both experiences have put me off

Ah, you got me there. Never bought a pair of Blue jeans in my life. Been a Chino guy all my adult life and I have the Jackets to match.

I normally wear shorts all year round but the OH puts her foot down when we’re away somewhere nice for the weekend etc and I have to get dressed properly and wear long trousers

She classes me as being dressed properly in anything other than shorts  when things are normal, I wear a suit, shirt and tie every day for work so can scrub up if and when required. Now I’m hoping you’re referring to Jesus Christ and not that other tosser Clarkson  but the answer to both is no

Maybe it's a VAG theme? I got a good deal on a Seat Leon that was metallic black with black leather (the only leather they offered) and have managed to avoid it ever since!

I got impatient looking for my 1st Z4 and talked myself into Ruby Black on the basis of the "Ruby" bit and having Pearl Grey leather.

Then luckily my 2nd one also had Pearl Grey, and my current one has Imola Red. I never had a problem with keeping the Grey ones clean, although I did avoid wearing new jeans in them!

Black seats in a Sport or M Coupe are made worse by the Black headlining.

Although if I had found an Imola Red MC I might have talked myself into having a Black interior!
