1st Day of ownership!...good fun, now which suspension bushes and shocks to change!

Evening all,

1st day with the car today! Good drive and explore in the daylight!....deep clean and detail on the interior and a nose about!

Looks like it's been well cared for and has already had the hood motor relocated - good result!

Service history suggests only 1 front shock was replaced a few hundred miles ago (NS) - not the best to not replace both!

So, figure at 84k swapping all shocks out to B4s, springs and bushes won't do any harm either!

What would you all recommend re. the go-to bushes to replace?

Don't really want to change all - prefer to change those likely to have the best impact?

Car is an SE with factory fit M-Sport suspension (slightly lower I think?)

Thanks all,

Scott

Congratulations..... maybe!

Which engine did you get?

I changed the suspension on my car to the Bilstein B12 Pro kit which is a bit lower than the M Sport Suspension that was on the car.

Firm but acceptable.

When I got my car I had the front wishbones and lollipops changed to Meyle HD which is the Wishbones, Lollipops and bushes ready to be fitted. Probably around £200 for the parts. Then changed the tyres and had a Hunter alignment done. Was like driving a new car.

All the bushes on the Z4 need replaced at some point. Best to get it looked at to see what actually needs replaced then look at acrylic bushes Powerflex do them all, purple ones will be enough. Either change all of them on the car at once or start at the front and work back.

First you need to get the codes read, cleared and read again to see if there's anything there. There's a thread for who has Carly and there might be someone close by.

Thanks chap,

Which suplex springs are recommended? My car is an SE, but with the M Sport suspension, so suspect the springs are slightly shorter?

Cheers,
