1st BMW!! Help with the wing mirrors tho?

Hi all,

Picked up my Z4 coupe yesterday from the dealership and spent an amazing afternoon getting the hang of it. One question though...

To adjust the wing mirrors if I push the up arrow on the switch they move forward, if I push the forward arrow on the switch the mirrors move down etc... It's almost as if the switch has been put in 90 degress out of alignment - or is this what they're all like? (It's miles back to the dealership to ask them the question!)

Thanks!!

tilted upwards (towards sky)

left (towards driver) < > right (towards outside lane)

tilted downwards (towards floor)

edit: damn, i lined that up nicely but it doesn't allow spaces

Yeh mine are odd then. Push left and right and you get up and down. Push up and down you get left and right! Guess the fitter had been down on the pub the night before.
Thanks for your help guys

You half right, doesnt work that way for the passanger side.

Welcome from a fellow coupe noob

My mirror switch does this:

- press the arrow pointing towards the end on the bonnet the mirror goes up
- press the arrow pointing towards the back of the car the mirror goes down
- press the arrow pointing towards the driver side window the mirror goes right
- press the arrow pointing towards the passenger side window the mirror goes left

makes sense to me when I am sat in the drivers seat but that doesnt mean its logical

Welcome to the forum - I guess someone's plugged the D-pad in the socket 90' out.
If you bought from a dealer, get em to fix it (for free of course)
