1M Vs E92M3 Vs E36 M3 Vs Z4MC Vid

Not sure how many will have seen this by now, but it's a comparison i've been looking forward to for a while..

From what I see the Z4MC is neck and neck with the 1MC... :driving:

I test drove the 1MC a month or so ago and this kinda proves what i thought in terms of straight line speed Vs the Z4M.....

Nice vid, surprised the Z4M kept pace with the 1M, that would put the 1M behind the TTRS for the same money
 
Very good video, yes it kept up very well with the 1M but then so did the old E36 at high speeds. Shows that the 1M has the grunt low down but the others are better at the top end.

Z4m looked better than the 1M imho so did the E92.
 
The MC engine sounded the sweetest, it put a smile on my face just listening to it....

Doubtful, the nature of the video suggested all oem look at the e36 it didn't even have a spoiler. The Z4m had CSLs but wasn't lowered, for me that's exactly how it should have faired, despite the reviews the 1M isn't taking out right performance to a new level it simply feels faster because of the way the torque is delivered. It still has the same power as us and is heavier.

Main reason why I mentioned it is because the brakes are not standard.

+1. Thats also why CSL owners get so all superior on Z4MC owner. Its just the better looking car :D

Journos seem to be loving this 1M though. Don't think you can just put down to power/weight ratio and other figures though. It seems the power is accessible and put down on the road that much better (not the Z's talent). Combined with a very good chassis and decent brakes it makes it a winner for them.

Don't hink M have really moved the game on though. Its just an ugly parts bin jobby albeit succesfull one.

Also goes to show they could have made the Z4M A LOT better had they wanted too :(

I noticed that too.
 
I didn't see that watched it on a small screen. It sounded fairly standard though and at the end of the day the 0-60 times are similar, I think the 1M would definitely be quicker out of tight corners due to the accessability of the power though but not on a straight drag like that.

Got to love that z4mc. Great colour, and for me fantastic looking and sounding car. Has to be the one of the 4 I'd have !

Their conclusion in short; BMW 1M was their favorite steering car of this test...but the other cars out preformed the 1M on engine character and power delivery.
