19's - Will I regret it?

Ok so I've had the zed 3.5 months now and trying to keep it standard/not spend too much really isn't happening.

I've just had the 108's refurbed and they look amazing but I can't stop thinking (even dreaming) about the 19" CSL wheels..

I need opinions here, what do I do?

Will 19's (and the lower profile tyres included with 19's) ruin the ride? Of affect how it drives in a negative manner?

The car in question:

Nowhere near as good as on stock 18's for me. Done the 19's on MC and previous M3. Same in both cases, ride spoiled and tramlines following whatever rut is there in our poorly maintained roads however they just look so much better.

Tapatalking on my iPhone.......

Real CSLs will be tricky to fit due to offset. If you want 19s, no point resisting. You'll succumb to z4itis at some point ;)

I can't honestly say that I noticed a difference between my 18's and 19's, maybe as i don't use my car everyday, but as VvrooooM says they look better !! :D

I know real ones are impossible to get in the right offset, some decent reps will suit me just fine. :o

Adamski, I'm quite sure I've also succumbed... So far: Fit heated seats, new window switch plates, carbon wrapping, refurb wheels, the list goes on.

I'm currently on horrible budget type things (came on the car) but I'll be going for falkens on the CSL's...

Can't comment on the Z4 as I'm still rocking around on my 17's at the moment. However, from experience with other BMWs I found that 19s with non runflats gave a smoother ride than 18s with runflats.

I'm debating the same thing at the moment but am leaning towards 18" and something other than a CSL...... something easier to clean.

Just chopped my standard 18" m-alloys and had 19" with 30/35 profiles fitted also lowered the car on eibach springs. The ride is not bad at all to be honest and a lot quieter on falken 452's. I would recommend a good geometry check after having anything like this done to avoid things such as tram lining.

But who cares about ride when you'll have a car that looks 100% more awesome.

when i changed my wheels if i had gone for 18's i know i would have regretted it.

depends what your car will be used for.

Daily drive, then 17's offer the best ride, but 18's are a nice compromise.. style over function.

108's in 18's dont look to small as the spokes go the edge of the rim, which makes them look bigger then they are.

Wheels with a lip - so csl will imo look too small as 18's.
