19s have landed ! WoW !!

Just says 8.5" for width and no mention of offsets at all, think i'll keep looking around as that site is perhaps a bit iffy (try clicking on the tyre calculator link) yours look great in hyperblack so i'll keep looking for some 18's in that colour.

Try http://www.lkperformance.co.uk// call them with your wants & see what they say , ive used them before a few times , very good to deal with & can source alloys not always on their website

Sent messages to the manufacturer as well but i think hyperblack in only available on 19's :headbang: its taken me months to decide i can live with 18" wheels instead of 17's but 19's ? to big for me.

Would i lose the rim protection by fitting a 225 front tyre to a 8.5j rim, also would it better to fit a 235/40 instead (wheels have a ET35) going to get them in silver instead so ordering wheels and rainsports today.

Whilst 225s will fit no problem on 8.5 they will obviously be inclined to tighten the sidewalls & offer less protection than 245 or 235s would .
For a idea these are my 235 Uni's on 8.5j CS lites , im not sure id like to go 225 unless upping the sidewall profile ?
Have you considered running M tyre sizes ? 18s are 255 40 rear 225 45 fronts ?

will larger sidewalls compensate better than a bit of extra width then ?

I ran M size rubber on previous non M car , makes a big difference in comfort & if the car is on standard springs it also reduces arch gap .
Bigger sidewall if dropping the widths will help

Wheels are now ordered, so 255/40/r18 and 225/45/r18 are going to be fine with the ET35 wheels, no rubbing ?

Have you found 255 40 18 Uni RS3s ? If not then you could also go 265 35 rears / 235 40 fronts which comes to around £370 delivered from http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres-265-35-18/?m=10

Riiiiiigght, rang up and changed the order to the 9.5" rear wheel so larger sizes will fit. thanks for your help mr wilks as i'm completely out of my depth with this  So 235/40/r18 wont rub on my car with sports suspension (et35)?

No mate . 235 40 18 front with 265 35 18 rears will look bang on with widths & offsets quoted , looking forward to seeing the end results

What sized centre badges do i need for these ?
If same as 19s then they are a few mm smaller than the standard 68mm ones .
I used a set of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-68MM-CENTRE-WHEEL-CAPS/dp/B00WBT91HQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435249625&sr=8-1&keywords=bmw+wheel+centres
& removed all the lugs on the rear effectively making a disc that sat in the lip of the wheel centre , held in with a small bead of clear silcione
Obviously don't stick the centres in until wheels have been balanced
