No , after much study & deliberation i have decided to go with some new rubber t i'm hoping will be a inspired choice :?
They are Uniroyal Rainsport 3s :wink: which are a Michelin owned company & made in USA Michelin factory
Getting great reviews for comfort, wet+dry grip ,low noise & for now silly prices
I was on the verge of some Pilot Sport Cups for just a few ££ more until i read the reviews :cry: close call there as i won't be doing 99% of my miles o n a track

Ah ok. I think mine took 3 days to come when I ordered from them, so expect them tomorrow or Tuesday.
 
Uniroyals look good in the reviews for sure, be interested to hear what you think of them.
 
Not happy :x Checked my tracking number from Tyreleader & as far as i can tell at 4.47am today the tyres are in Unna Germany :(

The Michelin part worn rears (7mm ) i was offered at such a silly price i couldn't say no , otherwise it was going to be 4 of the Uni Rs3s .
I could have bought matching Michelin fronts for not much more than the Unis but ive taken a punt & bought what i consider a better tyre for my requirements at a lower price & may yet sell the Michelin rears & buy the Rs3s if the fronts impress me :wink:
Its not like im looking for 20k a year tyres that are also capable of trackdays :oops:
+ Uniroyal have been Michelin owned since 1990 so its only a trade name on the sidewall

If the centres caps are the same size as my AXE wheels (62mm), let me know if you see any BMW ones in that size as most BMW ones are 68mm.

Ok mate , after looking at my options i wasn't keen on the idea of sticking centres over the Axe caps so had a play earlier with a spare 68mm centre .
Effectively it is now a flat disc with the lugs removed from the rear .
It sits perfectly into the centre lip so once i order a new set & do all 4 the same i will be sitting them in a small bead of clear silicone :thumbsup:

Love uni royals they are my favourite tyres by far. they really come into their own league in the wet as well. Great choice
 
How you getting on with the Uniroyals are they just for wet or are they a summer tyre as well? Need new front tyres on mine soon and was going for the Goodyear eagle 1s before i saw this. Anyone had both? What do they wear like compared to the Goodyears?
