So on my VX220 I ran 17 front 18 rear ( Exige setup ) is anyone running this on their Z? 18 front 19 rear? it was always standard practice in the VX community with them being a lotus chassis ( or there about )

Yeah I've always liked the look. Obviously its not looks why this should be done and traction is the reason but always felt the front rims look too big on the vert but not came across a Z4 vert set up like this.

Interesting re Elise setup, but I would have thought on the zed that you'd want bigger wheel at the front, so once you rubber up to same rolling radii, you have less profile rubber at front and more profile on rear, sort of like dragster like? It also means more give as you're sitting over the rear axle and also a bit more tyre flex for traction, but that's probably old fashioned thinking :)

Not sure if the weight balance on Elise is the difference?

Did you put anymore thought into doing this?

Not sure what the ride is like on 19s rears but definitely 18s on front.
I'm pretty intrigued by this now. :)

I was reading auto express last night and the new Bentley continental gtc v8s has 20 inch front and 21 inch rear wheels. That's a front engined car.

Everytime I'm out in the zed I'm just reminded how much punishment the fronts take (bad roads) and how much cusioning the front 18s tall profiles provide, but do like the thought of slightly taughter and bigger rear wheels :)

you tend to see this on mid engined vehicles, I'm not sure why but you may upset things by doing this on a front engined vehicles even if the motor is behind the front axle.

Tbh, currently just a curiosity more than anything else, and I think 19/9.5-10 at the rear would be cool
