19 or 18 Inch Alloys

I'm replacing my run flats and I'm going to replace my alloys as well. I have seen a lot of alloys on rimstyle.com and most of them are 19's. Anyone here have 19 and how do they compare to 18's?????

I have 19's. No real difference in ride etc, if you can afford 19's, I'd say get them, they look better on the Z4. Of course mine is lowered aswell so they really fill the arches which helps.

i also have 19"s, and compared to 18" RST (run shi** tyres) they are way better, the ride is far smoother and enjoyable rather than the crashing & banging of the run flats, (sorry run shi**es)

The ride is still firm obviously running a large wheel, however many people have done it, and i certainly havent regretted it.

I recently got my z4 and i can't wait to swap the tires. run shits are an understatement...... i think you just missed out 'F****** CRAP'... RSFCT!

I was also thinkg between 18s and 19s. I think i'll go for the 19s too :)

Michelin PS2 ZP, cost varies but admittedly are more than non-runflat alternatives.

someone on here recently changed to continentals and reported similar.

Ive had mine on for just over a year and they are so far wearing ALOT better than the OEM bridgestones did :D

Moved up from the original 18" to these 19" with Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics. Ride is quite similar, but steering precision and feedback is much improved.

what is the offset on the front and rear 19 in wheels. I am assuming 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears. Most wheel places here tellme I can not fit 19's. BULL. ANy trouble with rubbing, ever???

Like easty027, I couldn't resist here's mine on 19's, I changed from 17's and have no regrets.

Wheel sizes are 19x8.5 ET35 Front and 19x9.5 ET45 Rear fitted with Falken 452's 235/35/19 Front, 265/30/19 Rear, I have experienced no rubbing issues since fitting them.

8.5 and 9.5 refer to the width of the rim in inches.

offsets are refered to such as ET35 and that is the distance between the inside of the rim and the hub face. It will determine if the inside of the rim will hit any components such as struts etc.
