19" E46 M3 Wheels on a Z4?

It's true that the E46 M3 wheel offset don't fit E46 regular 3ers. But again look at how little the rear wheel gap is on the E46 3er and how close their stock wheels are to the fender edges already. Not to mention their rear fender liners are not rolled like the Z4. I guess some people just automatically assume you can't fit E46 M3 wheels on the regular Z4 either.

The CSLs on my Z4MC don't stick out anywhere near as much as those M3 wheels on a normal Z - plus my wheels are almost perpendicular to the road and don't have 1.5 degrees of negative camber :P

BTW, what size tyres are you using, as the rim seems to stick out a lot from the rim protector :?

was never really keen on those rims, but god damm it they look good on the black z4's. you now have me thinking, anybody have any more images of a silver car with those rims on ?

What a way to open a financial can of worms...I am now desperate to respray my car black, fit M3 wheels, a bodykit, lower it and fit tyres that have the profile of rubber bands :D

Stop posting Z-porn its not good for me

I have to agree, with most of the above, I have been looking for new wheels for my car but havent found any I liked, only thing is I would have to lower the car oherwise it wouldnt look right, but thats just adding more cost. At least it's black already though. :poke:

From what i can see then, the tyre size for the normal M3 E46 fitment is:-

8" x 19" Front 225/35/ZR19
9.5" x 19" Rear 255/35/ZR19

To fit the Z4 they need to be:-
8" x 19" Front 225/35/ZR19
9.5" x 19" Rear 255/30/ZR19

This is based on the fact that i am currently running 225/40/18 Front & 255/35/18 Rear, meaning it is only the rear tyres that are incorrect and would require changing

Is this correct ?

The tyre sizes are 225/40/19 fronts, and 255/35/19 rears.

The fronts on a Z4 of either 225/35 or 225/40 will be fine it will just be the rears, as you say a 255/30 might be best.

So they do fit but they rub, surely that means they don't fit!!

Right round up I have 2 genuine sets for sale. :D
If you go over large bumps at 30mph stock wheels rub too. If you drive aggressivly enough the Z4's stock front wheels would rub the inner fender liners, too. I guess that means stock wheels don't fit then?

Go and take a look at how wide the Z4's rear wheel gap is between the tire and the fender. It doesn't really matter how much the wheels stick out past the fenders when driven regularly or even fairly aggressively. But since the wheels do stick out past the fenders, of course the tires would rub the fender edges when you go over bumps fast enough that cause the rear springs to compress drastically.
What I mean is that in the UK they will not pass an MOT!

I'm fitting 10J x 19 ET 20 on my rears and loads of forums I get on will say they will fit no problem etc.. BUT in the UK the police and MOT test stations are funny gits!

So yes they may fit! But may be illegal. :driving:
