Aim for 8j front , 9j rears & et numbers around 40
8.5j fronts , 9.5j rears will be more common & will work but definitely don't go under et40 for the fronts , rears will be fine down to low 30s
Once wheel sizes are known choose the tyre sizes to suit & don't just go off whoever is supplying the wheels :wink:

rears are usually fine on z4's it's the front that causes the problems :evil:
true - im on a 205 40 18 front 8.5J et25 - seems i could have got away with a 215 then going off your fronts

probably, keep in mind that I'm stock sport suspension.
I have a feeling that on eibachs it'll rub a little and I might have to go for 215's up front. We'll see next year

over-all the size is pretty much the same ? you go up in size and go down in sidewall?

Supposedly yeah , which is why i said once the wheel size & offset is known then you can decide the tyre size which is as important as the previous 2 sizes .
I said not to go under et 40 as the op specifically mentioned he didn't want rubbing :wink: which i interpreted as he'd rather not play the game of chance & end with the usual " it just rubs a very little when full lock or when i go over a certain hump in road "
