19" 326ms. To upgrade or not?

So, I've become a member of the E89 club as of Sunday and the car came with every single option I wanted except the 19" 326m alloys.

In doing my research and investigating, I've read a LOT about problems with cracking on these alloys in particular. However it only seems to occur (or at least most often) with runflat tyres.

So my question is:

Owners of 326ms with non-runflat tyres - have you run into cracking problems or do you find them to be fine with non-runflats?

Same here. 2014 35i, 3 years come November but only 11,200 miles. No cracks.

I don't believe cracking is inevitable. I changed my wheels for aesthetics and the run flats were a bit noisy.

Hello, I’m about to list my 326 with Bridgestones RF if you want to have first dibs...

I've had 3 years on 326 runflats with no problems - except discomfort! Wish I'd had 18" instead of 19".

Try a 255 35 rear when time for tyres / makes a massive difference & further protection for the rims

Get a set Op , they just are THE wheel for 89s , just had my set custom finished & a set of Uniroyal Rs3s to go on them should ensure a comfy ride & help against splits .

Rob

Similar Rob but hyper chrome over black ; basically shadow chrome with a extra coat of silver to top off .
Probably see the finish better on the car .

Pretty wheels, mr wilks, but delicate, you must admit.

Get some 18" 295s, BeardyJon. Stronger, more agile, a better ride and cheaper on tyres.
