18x8.5 et35 or et40?? Lowered - PICTURES ADDED

Well a say drilled. I think more its a special order for that fitment from the manufacture, as they don't stock them on the shelf

Ok just to throw a very small spanner in the works, ive called the wheel company and they have said I can get these in another colour but they would have to get them drilled to BM fitment as they don't really stock them.

This means I can get a more varied range of fitment...

18x8.5 can have ET25, ET30, ET35, ET40, ET45

I was more swayed towards the ET40 given im lowered, would there be a need to go to ET45 on the front?

The rears have the following fitment...

19x9.5 can have ET35 or ET40

So would ET35 or ET40 be better on the rear with 265/30/19?

Its darn hard work wheels!!!

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong... but the standard 107 or 108 wheels come in ET 47 and ET50. Assuming you want a flush finish and assuming the e85 and e86 are similar in set up, most members opt for 12/15mm spacers on front and 20mm spacers on rear. 15mm spacers some have arch rub, so to play it safe lets use 12mm.

12mm spacers on 108's translates to an ET35
20mm spacers on 108's translates to an ET30

M wheels (224 style) have ET42 and ET30, front and rear respectively. This is a pretty flush wheel alignment.

So based on the above I'd go with ET40 for the front and ET30 for the rear (mines stock).

As the cars been lowered then maybe in your case go ET45 front and ET35 rear to play it safe.

Actually I've just re-read some posts.

Dav the wheel nut used ET35 on the front of his, and StigJ used ET34 on his. I'd say you'll be okay with ET40 front and ET35 rear!

Rear wheels turned up damaged. So had to wait for another set to be made and sent out.
Tracking says they are an hour away from my house so hopefully they will be on tomorrow all being well.

Pics to follow

Finally got the wheels on the car and photos added.

Thank you. Took some very careful consideration. Wheels/tyre combos aren't easy to choice.

Need to enjoy them whilst I can before they come off in the winter

Music to my ears. Almost time to pull the trigger

Hello,

I would say: if you want to drive fast you should increase the camber to get more grip on the front axle. If you do so you have of course enough space for ET35. If you drive slow you must not increase the camber but you might also get no problem with ET35. If you drive fast without increasing the camber (or better... if you try driving fast  ) ET35 might be a little bit tight.
