Buy a tin of Platidip and paint the grills black to see how you get on. If you're not aware of Plastidip, it's reversible just peel it off if you don't like it. It's a cheap alternative to buying and super easy to apply. Can also be perminant too. I like the finish of Plastidip.

guess im working for petrol now! Yay! Atleast I think I still hold the title for youngest Z4 driver 8) it's just a shame I can't say I bought it on my own. But I did buy everything from tires to oil even spark plugs I guess I am spoiled for having a car such as a z4 bought for me, but I'm not complaining!
