If it means anything, the tyres Andy aka MrWilks supplied for winter were as described and delivered incredibly quickly for a fantastic price. A shame the poster above was disappointed but adding my excellent experience to balance this out a bit.

That would upset most people I think regardless of post count.

I guess this case is unusual as they wheels were still on the car until very recently, so not easy to inspect fully
I'm just glad if the tyre is damaged that you didn't have a blow out - seems there is a benefit from the constant changing of wheels
Having said that it is frustrating to drive a long way for something not to be as expected so as many of us have found out recently it's always good to ask for lots of photos to check that what we think we have read is matched by reality

TBH 3.5mm may be legal, but it won't last - or be safe - for long. And that 'scar' looks about 3-4 inches long, not deep and so could be touched in cheaply by a smart repairer. At least going by the photos. Why didn't the buyer just ask for a better price given the condition of the tyre ?

There was no lack of transparency , the wheels were exactly as the pics i sent to Kean & apart from the one scrubbed inner tyre which was only noticed when removed earlier in the week the tyres were all as described or as gauge shows more tread than the 3.5 or 6mm i advertised .
Within seconds of arrival i was asked about lowering the agreed price & under any other circumstances i would have been happy to discuss but the attitude & general rudeness was such that i would rather not sell them at all as it was clear the buyer would never be satisfied
RE the 1 scrubbed tyre ? I specifically asked RE the tyres & the buyer Kean said he had a set of Uniroyal 3s to go on the wheels ?
I hope you both find what you are after , as for my set ? I may keep them ? i may refurb them ? As for "buyer beware" ? same goes for the seller :wink:

Hard to disagree with that point & safe to say i won't be selling a "in between" set again . Its either shabby or refurbed as there is too much area for arguement with a used set in "good" condition
I have had 6 Pms now in the last 24hrs from prospective buyers but my concern is having a repeat of yesterdays pantomime so still undecided whether to keep for myself , split & refurb or sell "Sold as seen "
When you see what people are selling cracked aftermarket alloys with part-worn budgets for on eBay, I really struggle to see why anyone would be unhappy with these, particularly after seeing today's photos. These are alloys in good "used" condition with tyres. If I was after a set of these, I would definitely pay the asking price, even if one or two tyres needed replacing. I usually find that buyers that turn up with with an entourage, are usually trying to force a reduction in price and can get annoyed if a reduction is refused. Not suggesting that's what has happened here but that's my experience.

Everyone knows you to be fair and experienced in determining what is good and bad, and in measuring tread depths
You've priced them at a good price and it's very clear that they've just come off your car so get them sold and move on
