Hi all, and Merry Christmas! I've been thinking about selling these for a while but now have decided to just give them away to free up some garage space asap... and because I'm in getting into the festive spirit
. Perfect for some winter wheels
Measurements are:
Front - 18 x 8 et34
Rear - 18 x 8.5 et37
For full disclosure, these wheels were on the car when it was pranged whilst parked late last year. Here's the thread. It was repaired by BMW under insurance and as standard practise they advised to replace the wheel on the damaged corner. However, the general consensus was the the wheel was still fine, not deformed, and had no cracks (the paint flaking in the photos is from curbing and not from the accident). The inside of the wheel is a bit scraped up from the broken wishbone - that's pretty much the worst of it. I just thought it was a good excuse to get an entirely new set so that's what i did. The plan was to maybe use the old set for winter tyres myself but I think i'll manage with my Super Sports and just stay home if it's bad 8)
The body shop guys also decided to spray one of the rear wheels with yellow paint and fit a front tyre on it. I have no idea why and the shop manager couldn't answer that questions. I guess someone was just messing around as they thought the wheels would be binned.
With the wheels needing a refurb and having accident history, i think giving them away is fair. All I'd ask is that you collect them. I'll be happy to assist by carrying 2 wheels in my zed if you're around a 30-45 minute drive from me and don't have enough room. I'm based in North Surrey and am home for the next 2 weeks so pickup during this time would be ideal.
Some pics of the wheels in their current state:
