Hey

Looking at buying a set of 17" 5x112 et 30 8j alloys.
Obviously I will need to get adapters. Thing is, the adapters I've seen are 20mm on the front and 30mm on the back. I'll be able to machine these to fit but has anyone got any idea how much I'll need to take off (if anything) to get the tyre under the arch?

I'm going to have a play around on willtheyfit .com but thought I'd ask to see if anyone has any advice.

Cheers in advance!
Pete

Assuming non M E85 E86 et 30 is already borderline fandango on front & getting there on rear (although the 8j will help there )
With tramline, twitch & road feel issues these cars already have a bad habit of displaying the last thing i would want is to spend time & money attempting to wrangle bastard fit wheels onto it  jmo :?

I have to agree with me wilks.
Buy the right wheels for the car and you'll have no regrets. But if the wheels are something really different and u really like them, persevere and have a zed that is different and u like it!

Cheers for the replys.

I've decided to leave those wheels...the guy seemed dodgy haha.
What i'm after is a set of splits...the hunt continues!
I'm going to go off the fitment i have now, work out how much room i have to play with and go from there. This won't exacly be for performance, it'll be so that the car sits right!
